You know you're the mother of boys if....
you are at a birthday party and there is a boy named Luke and every time someone says Luke's name your three-year old says, "I Luke! Dat me, I Luke."

I just crush a lot
Patrick is growing... again. One evening while I was making dinner, I was torturing him with the Food Network. We watch a lot of Food Network in our house and even when it is right after dinner Patrick is always HUNGRY. So, watching it before dinner left him writhing on the floor. And then SHE came on......
And suddenly, "I'm so hungry!" Turned into: "Mom, my heart is starving for love."
First crush, make a note. Giada DeLaurentis has captured my oldest son's heart and stomach. Sigh.

To Keith on his third birthday
Dear Keith,
It's your 9:45 am on your birthday and you have already wished 6 people "Happy Birthday." That includes me, I got "Happy Birthday Mama!" at least 8 times now. That pretty much sums it up. You have a way of brightening everyone's day with your sweet and loving disposition.
Even the smallest things are exciting when you are around. Life Cereal, waking up, watching Star Wars (again), reading Sammy the Seal (again), talking about sports, taking a bath, riding your bike. It is all a special experience. Your enthusiasm for life is unprecedented. And you make being your mom special.
You melt my heart when you profess your love. Randomly, "I love you Mama" shows up throughout the day, like rays of sunlight in my heart. Because it is out of my control and not in response to anything tangible, your proclamations are always special.
God knew once would never be enough with you so he gave you not one but two dimples. Who needs double dimples? This boy.

You are my little buddy. I pray that your heart will continue to swell with the gifts God has given you.
I love you Keith Fox,
Mama

Blogging for two
Did you figure it out yet? Have you seen the bump? Did you notice my lack of blogging? Have you heard how often I talk about food on Facebook? Yep. I'm pregnant. Baby Calli #3 is due to arrive October 20th and we could not be happier. I mean really, you would have thought we told Patrick that he was getting a pony or something.
Here are the proud big brothers to be. Patrick will tell you that his dream came true, we're having a baby! He's excited but he will be super excited if it's a girl. Keith will tell you that his mom is having a baby, "it in her heart."
Yesterday, Kevin's dad was over in the morning and asked Patrick if he wanted the baby to be a girl or a boy. Patrick of course said "girl." When he asked Keith what he wanted he responded, "I want a Stormtrooper helmet!"
I'm 13 weeks tomorrow and still absolutely exhausted. This is the hardest first trimester by far.
Kevin has been (even more of) Super-Dad. I could not have survived this without him. Now we pray for some super 2nd trimester energy (sooner rather than later) and a very healthy baby!
