BirthDAY: day being the operative word

Tonight we concluded Patrick's Birthday Month. Patrick and I had a little conversation a month or so ago about his birthday. He told me that he wanted 5 birthday parties (five is his new favorite number, four is SO last year!). I told him he was having two parties, one with the extended family and one with his friends. He insisted on five, I insisted on two and so on. Then I remembered that he would have a party in his class and a party on his actual birthday with just the family.... So four parties, he was closer to the actual number than I was.

This year the celebration dragged dragged on because Kevin is working weekends. It worked out that he had this weekend off so this was the final party. When you are 4 years old Pump It Up is the place to be. Both of my boys had sweat drenched heads. Patrick loved having so many of his friends in one place, everyone going absolutely crazy. And of course the presents that will be calling Patrick's name all night long.

Patrick told me that he appreciated the party and he had a great time. Time to start planning for Halloween.
